Wall Space is For More than Paintings
Are you bored with just putting paintings on your walls? You can do a lot more decor wise for your room than just artworks on the walls.
If you want to a small room seem a lot larger, use a couple of mirrors on opposing walls, this will create an illusion of space in the viewer's mind. You can also use decorative shelving around your room for not only it's classical good looks but also for extra space to display favorite items, collectable, photographs and small plants.
If you want something that will lend a regal look to your room, think ancient Greece and Rome and put
a classical urn on your walls. These urns look all the world like heavy stone you'd need a reinforced wall to hang them on but they are cleverly constructed out of lightweight cast resin and while being very sturdy and strong, they are very lightweight on your walls and you can even hang them on drywall. They come in a number of finishes that will match any decor, the white stone finish has an ancient look like it is straight out of the gardens of Pompeii. If you want something to put in your urn, a trailing silk ivy or spraying fern hanging over the edge will make a real impact in your room.
You can do much more with your walls than just hang framed paintings and photos, consider your other options and add a little zing to your decor!

Tin it Up!
Did you ever think something cold and metallic could actually bring warmth to a room? Indeed it can!
Tin panels are interesting pieces and they can be used in so many ways. Accent Architecturals has a
very interesting tin panel piece that was originally installed in Camden, Maine in 1924, The structure that it was in has been demolished and the tin was reclaimed and hand hammered over a piece of plywood and then colorized using various tints, varnishes and waxes to turn a simple, functional piece of tin into a real work of art. The piece is 24 inches by 24 inches and would make a great addition to any room. Hang it over a fireplace or use it as part of a small collection of tin pieces on your walls. Their warm colors will bring an air of coziness to your room.
This particular piece was created by architectural artists, Ken & Michelle Hoff; these tin pieces are one of a kind and no two are exactly alike. That's part of the fun of mixing and matching tin tile pieces.
If you're looking for a simple way to bring a sense of warmth into your decor but you don't want to spend an arm and a leg doing it and you don't have the time to make a lot of changes to your room, you'll find adding a cleverly chosen piece or two can make all the difference in the world to your decor. So go ahead, tin it up!

Angels! Angels All Around!
If you'd like to ad a piece to your room that has a history all its own, look into adding a
Tin & Wood Angel. Each one is completely unique and hand crafted from vintage materials. You may have an angel that has a body made out of old wood covered in paint from an old pillar or other wooden object from an old and now demolished home or you might have an angel that is wearing a ceiling tin gown from a building from the 1920's when ceiling tins were the rage.
These pieces are made from salvaged materials from buildings and homes all over the United States and your angel may be assembled from pieces from all over the country. Each angel is approximately 30 inches tall and most are made from recycled moulding and antique tin. As no two are exactly alike they make wonderful and unique pieces to add to your decor.
If you need a unique stocking stuffer for someone, one of these works of art will make a fabulous gift. The angels look fabulous assembled in small groups or standing along by a favorite plant on a small occasional table. They bring a light sense of whimsy and will lighten up the mood in any room.
As they are lightly colored they have no problem blending into any decor scheme from Shabby Chic to French Country - all will meld well with this angelic creation. Use two angels on each side of a chair to add a sense of balance in a room or put a sprinkling of a few around your room to make an angelic presence.
