Wonderful Additions to Your Room - Wall Vases
When you're looking for a way to expand your room or add an elegant touch to a space that just needs "something", wall vases are a wonderful way to complete the look of your room.
Wall vases come in many styles and whether you are looking for a piece that will add a purely European flair to your décor such as the Parisian Urn style wall vase or you just want something simple and understated to hold a favorite silk hanging ivy, a wall vase will be the answer to all your decorating needs.
If you just want to fill in a glaring blank space on a wall use just one wall vase or if you are looking to make a real impact with a dramatic effect - arrange 4 or more wall vases in a square or a diagonal pattern that goes upwards. Some designers put a framed painting at above and to one side of the wall vases so the eye is drawn upwards and over the wall vases and to the primary piece on the wall.
The wall vases are made from cast resin and although they look quite heavy, they are very light and easy to install. Additionally, they can be painted to match or contrast with the colors of your décor to ensure a real "made for you" fit into your room design.
Wall vases are a great way to make sure of wall space in your room design, especially in a smaller area where space may be lacking. If you're looking to update a room or you're designing a new look for your living space, wall spaces can help you make the most out of your living space!

Rosettes - An Outstanding Addition to Your Décor Both Inside and Outside
Rosettes add an air of elegance and if used with a feminine décor and soft lighting, they can add very romantic air to a room. Rosettes were traditionally used in the homes of well-to-do folks, usually in a parlor. Rosettes were also a very common decoration used in churches.
All rosettes have a central design in the center and then radiate outward towards either a petal like design (hence the name "rosette"), geometric patterns or shell patterns are used. Most rosettes are roundish in design but some like the Chelsea Rosette which is an intricately detailed small square shaped rosette that is only 4-inches by 4-inches. It looks like heavy solid plaster but in fact is actually lightweight, durable polyurethane that can be painted to match any wall it is placed on.
Rosettes can be used to frame a doorway, a favorite painting, or use them near a ceiling to give a small room height. When used over a doorway, they will bring a high ceiling down and give your room a more cozy feeling.
A small collection of rosettes place strategically on a wall can make a real impact to a room. Also, don't limit your use of rosettes to simply inside of your home; they can be just as useful for spicing up a garden area as well.
The Demtri Rosette is a work of art on its own that will enhance your garden area. It is made from cast resin to give the look of antique metal with a patina-like finish. The Florence Plaques are castings that are made from demolished buildings and they have intricate designs that will bring an air of elegance to your garden area.

Message Boards - Functional and Fun
In this day of instant messaging, text messaging, cell phones, and email - sometimes it's nice to leave a hand written note for a family member. These message boards and chalkboards give your family a central space to post messages, grocery lists, your "honey-do" lists and more.
There are a number of design choices in the cork message board category. There is literally something for everyone. The beaded chalkboard is handy for jotting last minute notes or letting someone know when you'll be home and that you have plans to order pizza for dinner. The simple wood design is perfect for any décor.
The magnet message boards add a sense of whimsy to your room and come with an attractive ribbon for hanging and magnets that match the theme of the message board. You'll find magnetic bees and flowers on the Belle Jardinière (French for "beautiful garden") and for the cat lover there is a cat themed magnetic message board.
Another great message board design is the free-spirited Dragonfly magnet message board and for the person that loves to travel is the Eiffel Tower magnet message board. There are other designs that range from beautiful Nasturtiums to a scenic flower market. One more fun design is the Ceiling Tin chalkboard that is constructed of recycled ceiling tins. This design looks equally fantastic in a shabby chic or deco interior design.
Leaving notes on these decorative message boards is a great way to ensure all members of your family stay in communication with each other. Add one of these fun and functional pieces to your room today.

Great Grilles!
When you mention grilles to people as a decorating element, most people will look at you with that "deer in the headlights look" as until recently they weren't heavily used. Grilles have been around for centuries and in homes around the early 1900's were widely used in the homes of the well to do. The grill fell out of favor as more art deco and "modern" designs took over and now in recent times, the grille has returned as a major element used in nearly every type of room design.
Medieval superstition placed early grilles over doorways to remove negativity and it was heavily believed that bad spirits weren't permitted to enter any home or room that had a grille placed over the top of the entrance doorway. Indeed grilles do look great over a doorway and if you have high ceilings they can be a focal point for the eye to give the illusion that your ceilings are a little lower and it will bring coziness to your room.
If you like a classic look, the Ancient Celtic Grille looks as though it is from an Old World castle but in reality it is made from lightweight but durable cast resin and has been hand finished to give the piece a centuries old feel. Another classic look is the Balcony Grille that is a tall and skinny piece that is great for setting off a doorway either at the top or the base.
Some of the other grille choices are sculpted from wrought iron and have a clean art deco look. Use them over fireplaces or around a favorite artwork to really highlight your piece. Another use for grilles that looks exceptionally well with the grilles that are made with a round design, is to sand a circular area into a wall and imbed the grille flush with the wall. The resin is easy to paint to match your wall or make it a contrasting color, either way - you will have a dramatic effect on an otherwise boring wall.

A Crowning Choice For Your Décor
If you're looking for an element to really round out the design of your room, try adding a crown or group of crowns to your room. A crown is simply a design element that is curved to form a half circle or other shape to top off a doorway or other feature within a room that you want to highlight and bring attention to.
Many of the crowns available are cast from demolished buildings. These exotically designed patterns are salvaged and then cast in a lightweight resin that gives the look and feel of heavy stone sculpture but not the weight. These crowns can be used over a doorway to give a room with low ceiling more height and they can be used around a favorite artwork or around a window to add some drama to the room.
Other crowns are made from wrought iron and have smoothly curving and curling designs. The Flower Scroll Crown is a perfect example of this type of crown with flowers and a heart sculpted from ironwork and it's gentle curving design. It would make a great topper over a window or used to really call attention to an artwork on your wall. The Paris Plaque is another ironwork masterpiece and if you want to really make an impact, the Scrollwork Crown is an outstanding piece of ironwork for your home.
If you want something classic, there are crowns that will add elegance to your room such as the Roman Marquee which is cast from an original marquee and designer finished to resemble an ancient fragment of a Roman building from days gone by. Add some drama and flair to the décor of your room with crowns!
