Room Need Something? Look Up!

You may have your floors covered in area rugs and the finest flooring, your walls are done "just so" with your art works arranged and halfsie tables up against the walls and you may have sprinkled a spot of bright color throughout and made a cozy little nook for your holiday entertaining. But, there is a glaring, undecorated, very plain ceiling in your room and you aren't sure what you can do to liven it up short of having a mural painted on it!

Actually there are a number of solutions you can do to liven up a ceiling area and bring it in as part of a room. First of all, ceilings do not have to be white. You can change your ceiling color to a coordinated color and see your room become even warmer and cozier. This trick is for larger rooms only as the lack of a lighter ceiling can make a small room seem even smaller.

No matter what the size of your room, you can benefit through the use of either ceiling medallions which lend a truly classic look to a room as they just add a raised motif to your ceiling. Another great look for rooms large or small comes in the form of ornate ceiling tins. These beautiful tins are hand pounded and look fantastic in a runner row through the ceiling or cover your entire ceiling in a pattern of your choosing.

Those are just a few tips to liven up your ceiling area, use them and watch your room transform!
