Which Type of Dresser is Right For Your Bedroom?

Next to the bed, the dresser is the most important piece of furniture in your bedroom. Some people like dressers with drawers for ease of organization and other people like a dresser with a large surface for displaying collectable items and treasured photographs.

Most dressers either come with a mirror attached or a wide enough space to hang a mirror. If you don't have much space, a tall skinny dresser with numerous drawers will save space and allow you to store all your items in one spot without giving up a lot of space. If you have more space in your bedroom, you can opt for a larger sized dresser with room to display your precious items and plenty of room within to hold all your clothing and other items.

A Victorian style dresser will encompass many of the features found in both large and small dressers. It has ample storage space, plus a mirror with shelving on either side of the mirror. The shelves are wonderful to display items and the dresser has a good number of drawers and is ideal for siblings or a husband and wife to share.

Some women have a large dresser they share with their spouse and then one tall slender dresser that is just for lingerie, jewelry and other personal items. In a baby nursery, a small, short dresser can serve as a changing table when you just place a pad on top to cushion the area for the baby to lay on. Keep diapers, the pad, and other baby accessories in the top drawer. Put your baby clothes and blankets in other drawers and you'll save space from having a dresser and a changing table in the nursery.

Dressers never go out of style and are a truly functional piece of furniture that many people use for years upon years.
